Lea Antolini – Lid
(RYT 200) has been practicing and teaching Hatha Yoga for over 15 years in addition to being employed at Centenary College as the assistant professor of dance/theater. After suffering a back injury in 1999, she fell in love with how her body, mind, and spirit felt after yoga — strong, flexible and balanced. Lea’s knowledge of dance has influenced her approach to teaching yoga which is based on her background in vinyasa flow, Iyengar and various movement techniques and influences including Laban, Bartenieff, and Alexander. This integration is seen in her yoga classes where postures are mindfully synchronized with the breath in order to form a continuous and smooth flow. Lea also emphasizes proper body alignment and mindful attention to postures which is helpful in avoiding common injuries. Lea has taught in Massachusetts at Brandeis University, as well as in various studios throughout northern New Jersey. She lives in Sparta with her husband Chuck and daughter Jasmine.
